Thinking of switching farm vet in Pembrokeshire?
Changing your farm vet can feel like a big decision. But if you're not getting the support your farm needs – whether that's proactive herd health planning, reliable out-of-hours cover or simply a vet who really knows your land and your livestock – it might be exactly the right one.
We've been working alongside Pembrokeshire farming families since 1950. We're independent, locally owned and we understand this county, including its farms, its challenges and the people who run them.
If you're thinking of making a change, we're always happy to have a confidential conversation before you commit to anything.
How switching to Fenton Vets works
We understand that switching can feel like a hassle. But in reality it’s straightforward – and this is how it happens.
Start with a free, no-obligation chat
Get in touch and we'll arrange a conversation with one of our farm directors, Mike, Alex or Matt, at a time that suits you. There’ll be no paperwork or pressure, only an informal, honest discussion about your farm, your stock and what you need from a vet practice.
We come to you
Your first visit is about getting properly acquainted with your farm, your animals and the way you work. We come out to you, ask the right questions, and make sure we're set up to support you effectively from day one.
Ongoing support, around the clock
From that first visit, you'll have direct access to our farm team whenever you need us. Our out-of-hours cover is handled entirely by our own vets – so when you call at 3am, it's a familiar voice on the phone and a familiar face at your gate.
Why Pembrokeshire farmers choose Fenton Vets
We're an independent, community-rooted practice that has spent over 75 years building relationships with the farms and families of Pembrokeshire.
Our team of 11 dedicated farm vets, supported by two lay TB testers, brings deep local knowledge to everything we do – from TB testing and routine herd health visits to emergency call-outs and long-term productivity planning.
Five of the team have been working as farm vets for over 20 years – the majority of which has been spent in Pembrokeshire. All of our younger vets are encouraged to study for extra qualifications to expand our team’s knowledge and the quality of our service.
We take a proactive approach to farm animal health, helping you reduce costs, improve animal welfare and protect your business for the long term.
Not just reactive call-outs when things go wrong, but planned, practical support that makes a real difference to your bottom line.
When you join Fenton Vets, you're getting a team that knows Pembrokeshire farming, is invested in your success and will be there, day or night, when you need them.
