Farm Animal August Newsletter 2026

Introducing Sioned - our new intern!

This month's newsletter covers:

  • Ram MOT – with tupping season approaching, it's important to check the boys before they go in with the ewes. Do it 10 weeks before tupping to allow time to identify and rectify any issues, and check the 5 Ts – toes, teeth, testicles, tone and treat
  • Mastering Medicines training – join us on Wednesday 9 September, 10am to 1pm at the Pelcomb Inn. Subsidised by Farming Connect, lunch provided and Farm Assurance compliant. Call 07766 995118 to book your place
  • Introducing Sioned – meet our new intern, raised on a beef and sheep farm in Mid Wales and part of the first ever cohort to graduate from a Welsh vet school
  • IBR – how Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis affects respiratory health, fertility and milk production, and how vaccination and strong biosecurity measures can protect your herd
  • It's Show Time – catch the Fenton farm team at
    • Fishguard Show (7 August)
    • County Show (19–20 August)
    • Martletwy Show (26 August)
    • Camrose Show (29 August)

Download the full newsletter for more detail, or get in touch with our farm team if you have any questions.
