Jess has known she wanted to work with animals her whole life. She began her journey with an Animal Management diploma at Usk College, followed by a BSc in Animal Science at Aberystwyth University in 2011. In 2014 she took the next step, training as a student veterinary nurse in a mixed animal practice in Mid Wales before qualifying in 2017.

Jess enjoys all aspects of nursing but has a particular passion for inpatient care and medical nursing. As she puts it, you simply can't beat the feeling of knowing the real difference you can make to an animal and their owner's life. She joined the Fenton Vets team in November 2025, working across both our Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock branches, and is looking forward to continuing to grow her clinical skills with such a supportive team around her.

At home, Jess shares her space with two ragdoll cats – Reggie and Ruby. They have a wonderful bond, though they're not above tormenting each other every now and then, as siblings tend to do.

Outside of work, Jess has recently rediscovered a love of running and enjoys walking and exploring the Pembrokeshire coastal paths. She's also a self-confessed foodie who loves cooking for family and friends.

Her favourite thing about Pembrokeshire? Having recently made the move, she's just getting started – and is excited to discover everything it has to offer.
