Registered Veterinary Nurse | RVN
Andy
Andy was lucky enough to grow up using a vet practice in Bedfordshire that allowed her to come and see practice from the age of 13 – starting in the holidays and then evenings and weekends, which led to her working there and beginning her nursing training. She qualified as an RVN in 1999 and has remained in practice ever since. In 2009 she completed her exotic certificate and has worked with a wonderfully varied range of species over the years – from day to day cats and dogs to lemurs, giraffes and lions.
Andy joined us in November 2003 and works across our Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock branches. Outside of work her happy place is walking her dog and exploring the local area with her partner and daughter. She loves music and has a goal of visiting as many parts of the UK as possible – there aren't many left to tick off.
At home she has Stanley, an Italian Spinone she shows and who has been placed at Crufts every time; Doris, a mini wire dachshund of 13 years who thinks she's firmly in charge; a tortoise called Colin, three chickens – Rita, Janet and Vanessa – two guinea pigs called Blossom and Daisy, and a selection of fish.
Her favourite thing about Pembrokeshire? The coast, the scenery and the quietness.
