Director – Farm Animal Vet | BVetMed MRCVS
Matt Evans
Matt is a Pembrokeshire local who first encountered Fenton Vets as a 15-year-old – and 20 years later he's now a director. He graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2016 and spent two years working on the Devon and Cornwall border as a farm vet, where he discovered just how heavily dairy-focused Pembrokeshire farming is by comparison. He returned home in 2018, joined Fenton Vets and became a director in 2024. He enjoys all aspects of the job – from clinical work to the running of the business – and is happiest when he's right in the thick of it on a farm.
Outside of work he trains and trials sheepdogs with his three working border collies – Jim, Jock and Jan – and his biggest achievement to date is making the Welsh team for the World trial this year. He's also a relatively new dad to two young daughters, which he counts as another hobby.
His favourite thing about Pembrokeshire? It's home. Beautiful coastline, beaches and mountains, a lovely pace of life and the best agricultural community going.
