For out of hours emergency cases, please call 01437 762806. Your call will be answered by an operator in a Fenton Vets contracted call centre. The on-call vet will return your call as soon as possible. Please phone before leaving to come to the surgery, as the surgery is not manned at all times and is locked outside normal hours.
Reception opening times
Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 6.30pm.
Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm.
Saturday 8.30am – 1.00pm.
The standard appointment time in most practices is 15 minutes. Our appointment times are 20 minutes long with both vets and nurses. This ensures that you have plenty of time to discuss any worries with us. In some circumstances, it is necessary to extend that time; if you think your pet needs a longer appointment, please let us know at the time of booking.
Each pet is allocated a separate 20-minute time slot, so if you bring multiple pets you will need multiple appointment slots. Please inform the receptionist if you intend to bring more than one pet.
We have a team of qualified nurses (solid green uniform) and nurses in training ( striped green uniform) available for selected appointments. This will include Pet Health Club health checks, puppy socialisation visits, nail clipping, post-surgical checks, suture removal, weight clinics, flea and worm checks and diabetic checks.
Please also feel free to use the nurse clinics for those occasions where you may just need a bit of advice. However, if your pet is elderly or unwell then we suggest you book an appointment with a vet.
