Our Practice

The Fenton Veterinary Practice is situated in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, serving the farming community and pets of south west Wales.
We aim to provide a friendly, caring service of the highest quality from a dedicated team committed to the welfare of your animals.
The practice was established in 1950, mainly for farm animals. Over the last five decades Fenton Vets has developed into a very mixed practice with a thriving small animal department.
The practice runs more or less as two separate units. Our large animal vets deal with farm species only, and small animal vets deal with pets only. We believe this offers an improved service and delivers better results. We have eight large animal and six small animal vets, making Fenton's one of the larger single centre veterinary practices in Wales.
The small animal department offers preventative health care including vaccinations, neutering, flea & worming products, dentistry, senior pet checks, and nutritional advice. We have ECG, x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy facilities on site. All medical and surgical cases are treated 'in house', or are referred on to leading specialists for the more challenging cases. We use the latest and safest anaesthetics, with electronic monitoring in theatre. Complementary therapies are also available, including acupuncture and herbal medicine.
See our RCVS listing on their website.
Exotic pets are seen by a twice weekly visiting vet (Tuesdays & Fridays), who has developed an interest and greater expertise in treating reptiles, birds, fish, small mammals, and other less common species. Visit www.vet4dragons.co.uk for further information.
The practice reception is open 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 8.45am to 4.30pm on Saturdays. Consultations are by appointment at the times below. Urgent cases are seen as required.
